God’s Mighty Arm: Reminders of His Power

Some days, we just need a reminder, that God is intimately involved in all that concerns us. Maybe we’ve been praying for something and still don’t see the answer. Maybe a door closed that we were really hoping would open. Maybe we’re battling discouragement and defeat, or we’re burdened for the lives of those we love…

He knows.

He cares.

And I was reminded this morning that His reach is huge. Nothing, absolutely nothing is too difficult for Him.

Sometimes we can’t see how. Often we can’t see when. And it’s usually right in the moments that we think, “There’s no way,” that God reaches in by His strong and mighty arm. That He shields and holds us, safely in His hands.

Through the Bible, we find verses that speak of His Mighty arm, or His right hand. These speak directly to the power of God, to His authority, His Sovereignty over our lives and in this world. And in the same ways He worked throughout Scripture, He works still today.

Don’t ever doubt, He knows your way and has a plan…

7 Reminders of How God’s Mighty Arm Works on Our Behalf:

He is Powerful – “Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” Jer. 32:17

He is our Refuge – “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out the enemy before you…” Deut. 33:27

He Saves – “Behold, the LORD’S hand is not so short That it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear.” Is. 59:1

He is Strong – “With your strong arm you scattered your enemies. Your arm is endued with power, your hand is strong, your right hand exalted.” Ps. 89:10,13

He brings Victory – “It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory, it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for your loved them.” Ps. 44:3

He is our Shepherd, He holds us in his care – “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart, he gently leads those that have young.” Is. 40:11

He Redeems – “…I will redeem you with an outstretched arm…” Ex. 6:6

He’s with us today, and He is Mighty.
